There are so many types of degrees... it's confusing!
Here are the basics:
Associates Degree is a two year degree, if you attend full time. usually earned at a Community College or Junior College with classes tending to be general in natures (math, sciences, english, etc) The type of degree can prepare you for specific jobs or just lay the foundation for a four year (or bachelors) degree.
A Bachelors degree is a four year degree, if you attend full time, usually earned at a University or College. Students select a major, a subject that they want to pursue, and the institution sets a curriculum to be followed in order to be awarded a degree in that subject.
