Meet Bonnie Wentzel, Director and Founder of StudentMom.com


Bonnie is a native Arizonan who has dedicated her education and work to help more Arizona women earn their college degrees. In 2003, she returned to Paradise Valley Community College complete her Associates Degree.  Since then, she completed her bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies at Arizona State University and in May 2009 earned her Masters degree in Communication Studies. Bonnie is also a graduate of the ASU’s Barrett Honors College and holds certificates of completion in general business, organizational leadership, and journalism. Her academic work has focused on education communication in relationship to the experienced adult learner.

Bonnie shares her Phoenix home with three young adults (one daughter, 17 and two sons. 20 & 22), three basset hounds, and her husband of 27 years, Mitch.  She is also a proud military wife and mother.  Prior to returning to college full-time, she worked for 13 years in human resources and nine years in retail and merchandising management.  She is a first generation college student and the first women in her family to earn any type of degree. Bonnie funded her education primarily through merit scholarships.
